Quick answer
Disney+ Premium is $21.49 in the US from billing cycles on or after 21 October, while a UK promo drops Standard with Ads to £4.99 for six months and Marvel posts three WandaVision episodes on YouTube. Prime refunds of up to $200 start in the US, German long-term annual Prime falls to 69 euros, and DC residents in two ZIP codes get Prime fee refunds. ChatGPT adds a $500 plan and halves the $200 tier's compute, and Netflix raises every plan in Türkiye.
Disney is charging US subscribers more for Disney+ while cutting the UK price for six months and posting three WandaVision episodes on YouTube for free. Netflix lifted every plan in Türkiye by roughly a third. OpenAI added a $500 ChatGPT tier and reopened the $200 plan with half the compute.

Amazon is paying members back. US Prime refunds of up to $200 start on 1 October. In Germany, long-term annual Prime drops from 90 euros to 69 euros. In Washington, DC, Amazon will return $7.25 million in Prime fees to residents whose ZIP codes were left off in-house delivery.
The plan price, the next bill date, and the benefit you receive can move on different days. Write down the tier, the renewal date, and whether a discount or a refund arrives on its own.
A higher US Disney bill, and three free episodes
This increase is the fourth in four years. Ad-free Disney+ Premium is $21.49 a month, up from $18.99. The ad-supported plan is $12.49. The ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle is $21.99, against $42.98 for the two plans bought separately. Existing subscribers see the new rates on billing cycles on or after 21 October. A year of standalone Premium is about $258. From the $6.99 launch price in 2019, the ad-free plan is up about 207 percent.
The bundle saves money only if both apps get watched. Disney+ still leans on earlier Marvel and Star Wars series, and Hulu has carried more of the recent show conversation.
Marvel posted the first three episodes of WandaVision on YouTube. They play without Disney+ and without YouTube Premium. Disney has not said the rest of the series will follow. The episodes lead into Agatha All Along and the coming VisionQuest, so they work as a sample. Watch them before renewing a plan you were ready to drop. One month at $21.49 is a smaller commitment than a full year if those remaining episodes are the only reason to come back.
A UK price cut with a six-month floor
In the UK, new and eligible returning subscribers can get Standard with Ads for £4.99 a month for six months. Standard is £7.99. Premium is £10.99. Against the usual rates, the term saves £6, £12, and £24 on those three plans. The Premium cut is about 26 percent.
These plans renew at the then-current monthly price unless cancelled, and cancellation takes effect only after the six months. Annual Standard is £99.90 and annual Premium is £149.90, or 12 months for the price of 10. Put the end date on a calendar the day you subscribe.
Prime refunds, a German rollback, and a DC delivery gap
US Prime refunds under the expanded FTC settlement start on 1 October and can reach $200. The case covers enrollments and difficult cancellations from 23 June 2019 through 23 June 2025. By early September Amazon had issued about $845 million, while consumers had collected about $235 million of the $1.5 billion set aside. This round adds members who used 11 to 20 Prime benefits in any 12 months of that window. Earlier rounds covered people who used 10 or fewer. Payments go out by PayPal, Venmo, or mailed check, with no form. Amazon has until 25 January to finish, and recipients have at least 60 days to accept. Someone who already took up to $51 could later receive up to $149 more if consumer payouts stay under $1 billion. Those extra payments would begin by the end of April 2027. The FTC does not call about this money. A request for a fee or for account details is a scam.
In Germany, annual Prime falls from 90 euros to 69 euros for memberships that started before 15 September 2022 and have not changed since. The lower price hits the next payment automatically, 21 euros less, with the same benefits. Amazon calls the cut temporary and gives no end date. The Federal Court of Justice found the 2022 increase, which also lifted the monthly fee from 8 euros to 9 euros, too unclear for customers to know if they could reject it or only cancel. Past overpayments sit in a separate collective case from the North Rhine-Westphalia consumer association. More than 130,000 people had registered by June, with a possible claim of up to 60 euros. Registration is free and still open.
In Washington, DC, Amazon will pay $8.25 million: $7.25 million in Prime fee refunds and $1 million in penalties. From June 2022 until April 2026, ZIP codes 20019 and 20020 were left off Amazon's delivery trucks and served by slower carriers. About 69,000 members there paid full price, $14.99 a month or $139 a year since 2022, without being told the exclusion caused the delays. Eligible residents get back nearly half the fees from that period and will be notified of the amount. Any future DC exclusion has to be disclosed to current members, to new signups who enter an affected address, and to the attorney general. This payout is not the FTC refund.
A $500 ChatGPT plan, and a thinner $200 tier
OpenAI priced ChatGPT Pro 500 at $500 a month, $300 above the old top tier. It includes Ultrafast computing for GPT-6 Astra in ChatGPT Work and Codex, an 8x speed increase in Codex, and the highest included usage. A year is $6,000 before a second AI subscription.
The $200 Pro plan reopened after signups stopped on 10 September, with the allowance cut in half. Compute falls from 20 times the $20 Plus plan to 10 times. GPT-6 Pro messages fall from 200 a week to 100. Current subscribers get a one-time credit. The Codex engineering lead said the new allowance is about half the prior plan's API spend. Compare a normal week with the 100-message cap before you renew at $200. The $500 plan fits only if that speed replaces overage you already pay.
Netflix raises every plan in Türkiye
Netflix raised every Turkish plan in October 2026. Basic is 259.99 lira a month, Standard is 389.99 lira, and Premium is 499.99 lira. The increases run from 31.6 percent to 36.8 percent. The service has an estimated 4 million subscribers in the country. Multiply the new rate by 12 before keeping Premium for the extra screens.
What this week means for your subscription stack
US Disney+ subscribers should read any bill dated on or after 21 October, then choose the $21.49 plan, the $21.99 bundle, or a pause after the three free episodes. UK subscribers on the £4.99 offer should calendar the month the promo ends.
US Prime members should watch PayPal, Venmo, and the post, and ignore anyone who asks for a fee. German members on the old annual plan should confirm 69 euros on the next invoice, and treat the collective claim as its own step. DC residents in 20019 and 20020 should wait for Amazon's notice.
ChatGPT's $200 plan now buys less compute, and the new ceiling is $500. Netflix in Türkiye moved every tier by about a third. Keep the plan name, the rate-change date, and any automatic refund in the same record.
